Don't Open a Hair Salon Until You Watch THIS!

When I opened my first hair salon I did this.
I had an idea. I spoke to the landlord. I signed the lease. I sold my car to fit it out and bang … I had my first salon.

Very quickly after that, the whole thing went downhill pretty fast.
So there are things to be done and things to be avoided when opening a hair salon.

At the start ask yourself this.
Why would anyone come to my salon?

Listen to Salon Business Foundationals series, in this episode Alan Forrest Smith will be discussing how to start and own a successful salon business.

Does mankind need heroes? If yes - why?

Feb 11, 2020

We all make mistakes, anything from being late to the meeting, to entrusting a person to do the job they are not suitable for. Usually, no mistake can be such that can not be solved,
often a simple conversation or a carefully worded email can do, yet if you have ever felt you made mistakes it may feel like the end of the world, can you relate?

So how do we go about managing the mistakes without feeling negative about correcting them? Or how do we even identify the mistakes before they are too late to correct?

We ask Alan Forrest Smith to share his experience.

Some of the questions asked were...

How do you manage the mistake if you hired a "wrong" person to manage the salon?

  • What do you do if the stylist makes a hair mess and the client goes mad?
  • Could investing in certain salon software become a problem?
  • How do we manage the mistake of focusing to the least profitable area of our salon business?
  • The answers may surprise you. Listen to the podcast to discover.
